27th of April – Take part in the CALF Event in Second Life

April 27, 2009

The next CALF events will take place in Second Life, the 3D virtual world where users can socialize, connect and create using voice and text chat. Students will explore different sites in Second Life – the Beyond Distance Research Alliance Media Zoo, the replica of the Sistine Chapel recreated by Vassar College and NASA’s moon probe launch site. If you are interested in how to find these sites in Second Life, become friends to my avatar – SandraI Lemon and I will drop a roadmap in your landmarks inventory. If that was too much Second Life speak for you, just send CALF an email and I will send you links to these sites.

The event will take place in the Stamford Warden’s Room in Stamford Hall, Oadby. To get to Stamfrod Hall you need to take buses 31A or 80/A from City Centre via Leicester train station to the Halls of Residence.

The event will kick off at 11:00 and finish at 12:30 and there will be 5 students participants.
